Intervista a Roberto De Gasperin, Direttore Generale, Crown Lift Trucks srl

Buongiorno e grazie per questa intervista e per la partecipazione al #GLSummit20. Cosa vi aspettate da questo evento?
Ci aspettiamo di duplicare il successo delle precedenti edizioni del Global Summit a cui abbiamo partecipato in passato e siamo orgogliosi di far parte di un evento che è un punto di riferimento per tutte le Aziende italiane che operano in questo settore.

Cosa avete apprezzato delle altre partecipazioni?

• Organizzazione eccezionale
• Partecipanti qualificati e numerosi
• Visitatori interessati
• Relatori e presentazioni professionali

Il decennio appena terminato ha portato grandi innovazioni e molte promesse tecnologiche ancora da realizzare. Quali sono quelli che ritenete più importanti e prospettiche e quali invece siete già in grado di implementare?
Ritengo che tra le più grandi innovazioni sviluppate possiamo elencare:

• Veicoli logistici autonomi
• Visione artificiale applicata alla movimentazione dei materiali
• Connettività e big data

Quali saranno i prossimi sviluppi tecnologici? Chissà … ma Crown sarà sicuramente all’avanguardia, come lo siamo stati con la nostra comprovata tecnologia di prelievo ordini QuickPick Remote o, più recentemente, con l’introduzione del nostro nuovissimo sistema operativo Gena con la propria interfaccia operatore altamente intuitiva!

Quale ritenete sia stata la più grande innovazione degli Anni ’10 del XXI secolo nel Vostro settore e perché?
A mio avviso, gli ultimi dieci anni sono stati segnati da grandi progressi nell’automazione e nelle fonti energetiche. Sono orgoglioso di dire che Crown ha avuto un ruolo importante. Il nostro sistema QuickPick Remote, basato sul “guanto magico”, si è dimostrato una soluzione di automazione altamente operativa e affidabile inoltre quasi tutti i carrelli elevatori Crown sono offerti con la possibilità di passare facilmente da batterie piombo-acido a batterie agli ioni di litio e viceversa.

In cosa ritenete che la vostra azienda si distingua davvero dalle altre?
Perché ascoltiamo sempre ciò che ci dicono i nostri Clienti e ci sforziamo di soddisfare le aspettative dei nostri Clienti con funzionalità e tecnologie ben pensate ed a prova di futuro. Noi abbiamo sempre in mente l’operatore quando pensiamo a nuove soluzioni. Noi lo chiamiamo: design incentrato sull’uomo.

Perché un visitatore di #GLSummit20 dovrebbe assolutamente sedersi al vostro tavolo?
Tutti coloro che sono sinceramente interessati a conoscere gli ultimi sviluppi nel mondo dell’intralogistica dovrebbero fare una visita a Crown poiché noi siamo leader in questo settore senza confrontarci con i concorrenti ma concentrandoci sempre sui nostri Clienti fedeli e con lunghe relazioni di partnership.

Hello Roberto De Gasperin, thank you for this interview and for participating in # GLSummit20. What do you expect from this event?
We expect to duplicate the success of the previous Global Summits we have attended in the past and we are proud to be part of an event that is a benchmark for all Italian Companies operating in this business

If you have already taken part in other editions of the Global Summit, what did you like about the other participations?

• Outstanding organization
• Qualified and numerous participants
• Interested visitors
• Professional speakers & speeches

The decade that has just ended has brought great innovations and many technological promises still to be realized. Which are the ones you consider most important and prospective and which ones are you already able to implement?
I believe that among the greatest innovations developed we may list:

• Autonomous logistic vehicles
• Artificial vision applied to material handling
• Connectivity and Big data

What will be the next technological developments? Who knows … but Crown for sure will be on the leading edge, as we have been with our proven QuickPick Remote order picking technology or just recently with the introduction of our brand new Gena operating system with its highly intuitive operator interface!

What do you think was the greatest innovation of the 10s of the 21st century in your sector and why?
In my view, the last ten years were marked by great advances in automation and energy sources. And I’m proud to say that Crown has played an important role. Our QuickPick Remote system, based on the “magic glove” has itself proved as a highly-operative and reliable automation solution, and nearly all Crown trucks are offered with the ability to easily change from lead-acid to lithium-ion batteries and back.

How do you think your company really stands out from the rest?
Because we always listen to what our customers are telling us and we are striving to fulfil the expectations of our customers with thought-out and future-proof features and technologies. And we always have the operator in mind when we think of new solutions. We call that Human-Centered Design.

Why should a visitor to the # GLSummit20 absolutely sit at your table?
Everybody who is genuinely interested to be aware of the latest developments of intralogistics world should pay Crown a visit since we are leading this business without benchmarking the competitors but always focusing on our loyal and long term customers.
